My Story

Hello and thank you for visiting my website!

My name is Lise, I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease about 13 years ago, back in the day when ‘free from’ isles were rare and contained very limited items.

While the situation is improving, when I am out and about, it is still unusual to be able to eat at the same places as my friends; hence the idea of the Silver Rocket Café came about. The aim is to produce straightforward, locally sourced and unprocessed, food that while being gluten free and vegetarian, it is also available and appealing to as wide an audience as possible.

As well as cooking for myself from scratch for many years – out of necessity and using wheat free ingredients, I also worked in various high quality restaurants over the years. I gained knowledge in catering and how to produce simple foods packed with flavour and nutrition, whilst also being colourful to the eye and easy on the stomach.

It is my desire for you to not only love the Silver Rocket Café but to enjoy my delicious tasty Gluten Free, Vegan & Vegetarian food.

The Silver Rocket Café is available not only for markets, but is also available for hire for your party, event or function. We can cater for your event with this stunning British built retro style trailer, newly built and fully compliant with current regulations and insurance.
